Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Sugar Point, Lake of the Woods, eight miles southeast of Angle Inlet, 32 miles northeast of Warroad. On a small (3/4-acre) bedrock island ~150 yards offshore.

Verbatim Elevation: 1065 feet
Habitat: Local, occasional on the highest portion of the island, 10-15 feet above the lake. Rooting along larger crevices and also in pockets of shallow soil over level to gently sloping, little-fractured, and quite rounded granitic rock. Mostly in full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Polygonum douglasii, Achillea millefolium, Viola novae-angliae, Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, Euthamia graminifolia, Galium boreale, Campanula rotundifolia, Cerastium arvense, Agastache foeniculum, Muhlenbergia mexicana, Rosa sp.
