Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Sugar Point, Lake of the Woods, eight miles southeast of Angle Inlet, 32 miles northeast of Warroad. On a small (3/4-acre) bedrock island ~150 yards offshore.

Verbatim Elevation: 1065 feet
Habitat: Local, forming small patches on the highest portion of the island, 15 feet above the lake. In shallow soil over level to gently sloping, little-fractured, and quite rounded granitic rock. Full sun. Purple flowers.
Associated Species: Associates include Galium boreale, Achillea millefolium, Euthamia graminifolia, Campanula rotundifolia, Allium stellatum, Cerastium arvense, Symphyotrichum lanceolatum, Spiraea alba, Muhlenbergia mexicana.
