Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Sugar Point, Lake of the Woods, eight miles southeast of Angle Inlet, 32 miles northeast of Warroad. On a small (3/4-acre) bedrock island ~150 yards offshore.

Verbatim Elevation: 1065 feet
Habitat: Local, infrequent on the highest portion of the island, 10-15 feet above the lake. Rooting in crevices and in quite shallow detrital soil over level to gently sloping, little-fractured, and quite rounded granitic rock. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Selaginella rupestris, Polygonum douglasii, Fallopia cilinodis, Achillea millefolium, Heuchera richardsonii, Portulaca oleracea, Juniperus horizontalis, Spiraea alba, Agrostis scabra.
