Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Along Dawson Road NW (County Road 49) in nearly level terrain 1/2 mile east of Jim's Corner and one mile east-southeast of Angle Inlet, 32 miles north-northeast of Warroad. Along the roadway's shallow south ditch, where the gravel road cuts through a wet white cedar forest.

Habitat: Occasional locally in thick moss carpets dominated by Hypnum pratense. Wet clay. Full sun.
