United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Level to fairly rugged bedrock terrain six miles east-southeast of Angle Inlet, 33 miles north-northeast of Warroad. East of the old feldspar mine.

Habitat:
Local along an all-terrain vehicle trail as it cuts through a wet ash forest. Forming small patches in moist dark clay. Patchy canopy of Fraxinus nigra. Understory of Abies balsamea, Fraxinus nigra, and Thuja occidentalis. Partial sun to shade.

Additional associates include Carex retrorsa, Glyceria striata, Leersia oryzoides, Solidago gigantea, Equisetum arvense, Plantago major, Rudbeckia laciniata.
