Locality: United States, Minnesota, Fillmore, Along the upper reaches of Diamond Creek 3.5 miles southeast of Whalan, 5.5 miles east of Lanesboro, along the south fork of the creek.

Verbatim Elevation: 1090 feet
Habitat: Infrequent and sporadic on a gently-sloping ridge atop 200-foot bluffs. Mature mesic hardwood forest. Canopy dominated by large Quercus alba and Q. rubra, and scattered Acer saccharum, Tilia americana, and Fraxinus americana. Understory includes Acer saccharum and Ostrya virginiana. Silty clay. Loose clumps.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex pensylvanica, C. albursina, Geranium maculatum, Osmorhiza claytonii, Circaea lutetiana, Geum canadense, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Viola pubescens, Sanicula gregaria, Desmodium glutinosum.
