United States, Minnesota, Stearns, on the edge of Happy Valley State Wildlife Management Area. Rolling till plain just east of the South Two River, 2.5 miles northeast of Holdingford.

Habitat:
Very local in a small swale surrounded by rich hardwood forest. Loose groups of plants occur near open water in the center of this shallow marsh. Peaty muck substrate, with water ~8 inches deep. Full sun.
Associated Species:
Associates include Acorus americanus, Sium suave, Carex utriculata, Phalaris arundinacea. A patch of Carex atherodes (MDL7341) occurs nearby but is not a direct associate.
