Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Crane Meadows National Wildlife Refuge (within statutory boundary). Along the Skunk River east of Skunk Lake, on level to gently rolling outwash 4.5 miles northwest of Buckman, five miles southwest of Pierz.

Verbatim Elevation: 1115 feet
Habitat: Uncommon and local on the edge of a small swale (shallow overflow flooding channel) in a narrow strip of alluvial forest. Canopy dominated by maturing Fraxinus pennsylvanica, with scattered Acer negundo, Ulmus americana, and large Acer saccharinum. Moist, organic silt.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex vesicaria, C. tuckermanii, Phalaris arundinacea.
