Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake of the Woods, Northwest Angle. Strongly rolling bedrock terrain six miles east-southeast of Angle Inlet, 33 miles north-northeast of Warroad. Northeast of the old feldspar mine.

Verbatim Elevation: 1115 feet
Habitat: Locally common on a fairly large bedrock outcrop complex that rises nearly 40 feet above the surrounding forested swamp. Small, dense patches, often growing with Cladina lichens and Polytrichum moss, in thin detrital soil over granite. Full sun to partial shade of Abies balsamea and Thuja occidentalis, in open rock outcrop and bedrock savanna settings.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Campanula rotundifolia, Selaginella rupestris, Botrychium multifidum, Woodsia ilvensis, Agrostis scabra, Danthonia spicata, Juniperus communis, J. horizontalis.
