Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Camp Ripley National Guard Reservation. On islands in the free-flowing Mississippi River, ten miles north of downtown Little Falls.

Verbatim Elevation: 1135 feet
Habitat: Uncommon and quite local on very small sandbars exposed in the past few weeks by receding water levels. Fine, moist sand, 6-10 inches above the water. Partial shade of Acer saccharinum in the canopy of the adjacent floodplain forest. Level setting dominated by Cyperus squarrosus.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Eleocharis intermedia, Panicum philadelphicum, Eragrostis hypnoides, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Rumex fueginus, Gnaphalium uliginosum, Veronica catenata, Lindernia dubia, Persicaria lapathifolia.
