Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Camp Ripley National Guard Reservation. On islands in the free-flowing Mississippi River, ten miles north of downtown Little Falls.

Habitat: Very local in degraded floodplain forest dominated by Acer saccharinum. Along the margin of a subtle flood channel, ~18 inches above the present river level. Moist sandy-silt. Partial shade. Several plants here (two small patches).
Associated Species: Associates include Boehmeria cylindrica, Pilea pumila, Mimulus ringens, Scutellaria lateriflora, Mentha arvensis, Penthorum sedoides, Phalaris arundinacea.
