Habitat:
Very local on a very small mudflat exposed in the past few weeks by receding water levels. Substrate is moist silt, fairly deep to quite shallow (over sand). Rare here, 2-5 inches above the water, in an essentially level setting dominated by Lindernia dubia and Mimulus ringens. Full sun.

Additional associates include Eleocharis intermedia, Eragrostis hypnoides, Panicum philadelphicum, Persicaria lapathifolia, P. hydropiper, Bidens cernua, Rumex fueginus, Gnaphalium uliginosum, Amaranthus tuberculatus, Veronica catenata, Ludwigia palustris, Sium suave, Ranunculus sceleratus, R. aquatilis.
