Locally abundant. Forming dense, often monotypic, patches on the gently sloping lower portion of the river bank. Moist to quite wet silt amongst rounded cobbles, often in zones influenced by subtle groundwater seepage. Full sun.
Associates include Phalaris arundinacea, Mentha arvensis.
