United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Ereaux State Wildlife Management Area. Gently rolling sandy terrain east of State Highway 371, two miles northeast of Little Falls.

Habitat:
Occasional to locally common in a rich sedge fen, in the broad central zone of an 80-acre wetland complex. Loose to moderately dense patches, often along game trails, in settings dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Buoyant, saturated peat, often in water up to 2 inches deep. Continuous Sphagnum angustifolium carpets. Mostly in full sun.

Additional associates include Carex chordorrhiza, Potentilla palustris, Equisetum fluviatile, Aster borealis, Spiraea tomentosa, Salix petiolaris, S. pedicellaris, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Betula glandulifera, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Larix laricina.
