Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Ereaux State Wildlife Management Area. Gently rolling sandy terrain east of State Highway 371, two miles northeast of Little Falls.

Habitat: Occasional to locally common in a rich sedge fen, in the broad central zone of an 80-acre wetland complex. Loose to moderately dense patches, often along game trails, in settings dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Buoyant, saturated peat, often in water up to 2 inches deep. Continuous Sphagnum angustifolium carpets. Mostly in full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex chordorrhiza, Potentilla palustris, Equisetum fluviatile, Aster borealis, Spiraea tomentosa, Salix petiolaris, S. pedicellaris, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Betula glandulifera, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Larix laricina.
