Habitat:
Occasional to locally common in a rich sedge fen, in the broad central zone of an 80-acre wetland complex. Loose to moderately dense patches, often along game trails, in settings dominated by Carex lasiocarpa. Buoyant, saturated peat, often in water up to 2 inches deep. Continuous Sphagnum angustifolium carpets. Mostly in full sun.
