Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Ereaux State Wildlife Management Area. Gently rolling sandy terrain east of State Highway 371, two miles northeast of Little Falls.

Habitat: Occasional to locally frequent in sedge/shrub fen (grading from rich to poor), in the broad central zone of an 80-acre wetland complex. Loose patches; mostly occurring in zones that are not dominated by Chamaedaphne calyculata, and in areas that have not yet been invaded by Typha xglauca. Moderately buoyant, deep, saturated peat. Continuous Sphagnum angustifolium carpets. Mostly in full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, C. chordorrhiza, C. limosa, Eriophorum chamissonis, Potentilla palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Betula pumila, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Spiraea tomentosa.
