Habitat:
Frequent to locally abundant in sedge/shrub fen (grading from rich to poor), in the broad central zone of an 80-acre wetland complex. Loose to moderately dense patches; mostly in areas that have not yet been invaded by Typha xglauca. Moderately buoyant, deep, saturated peat. Continuous Sphagnum carpets. Full sun to partial shade of small Larix laricina.
