Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Ereaux State Wildlife Management Area. Gently rolling sandy terrain east of State Highway 371, two miles northeast of Little Falls.

Habitat: Locally common in a small (1.5-acre) wetland surrounded by dry oak-aspen woodland. Forming fairly dense patches in the wetter central portion of this shallow meadow/marsh complex. Rhizomes shallowly buried in the peaty muck substrate; in water 3-6 inches deep. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Glyceria grandis, Phalaris arundinacea.
