Locality: United States, Minnesota, Winona, Rugged terrain along Arches Valley and Garvin Brook, just downstream from the mouth of Peterson Creek and Farmers Community Park, 2.5 miles southwest of Stockton, 3 miles northeast of Lewiston.

Elevation: 347 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1140 feet

Habitat: Local atop a steep, 300-foot, west-facing bluff. Occasional in a savanna ecotone on the edge of a tiny bluff prairie opening, near the top of dry dolomite cliffs. Partial shade of Juniperus virginiana, Quercus ellipsoidalis, Q. macrocarpa, and Rhamnus cathartica. Loose clumps, in shallow, rocky silt, in a zone that is dominated by Carex pensylvanica.

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Sisyrinchium campestre, Hypoxis hirsuta, Antennaria howellii, Coreopsis palmata, Geum triflorum, Amorpha canescens, Juniperus communis.
