Locality: United States, Minnesota, Stearns, Strongly rolling forested moraine south of the Sauk River, one mile south-southeast of downtown Cold Spring, along the north side of Hummingbird Lane.

Habitat: Infrequent in a small (one-acre) arrowhead marsh. In a emergent zone that surrounds a small (1/4-acre), shallow pond. Rooting in a mucky-organic mat that floats a foot or so above the muck substrate. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex comosa, Scirpus cyperinus, Leersia oryzoides, Glyceria grandis, Sparganium emersum, Bidens cernua, Lycopus uniflorus, Sagittaria latifolia, Galium trifidum, Lemna minor, Spirodela polyrhiza.
