United States, Minnesota, Stearns, Gently rolling till plain four miles southeast of New Munich, six miles southwest of Albany. At the public canoe access on the southeastern shore of Getchell Lake.

Habitat:
Quite local. Small colony in moist, silty-organic soil, within a few inches of the lake level, which is up ~12 inches due to recent rains (a 6-inch rain event two weeks later submerges the shoreline under an additional 36 inches of water). Full sun. Elsewhere on this lake the moist shoreline zone has been completely overrun by Typha xglauca on the wetter end (and extending into shallow water) and by Phalaris arundinacea on the drier end (grading to upland).
