Habitat: Occasional. Forming loose clumps in moist to wet clayey organic substrate reworked during road construction in 2011. Full sun. This area dries out somewhat and is mowed / hayed as the growing season progresses.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis erythropoda, Scirpus microcarpus, S. atrovirens, Carex hysteracina, C. stipata, C. granularis, C. brevior, C. vulpinoidea, C. tenera, Glyceria striata, Phalaris arundinacea, Equisetum arvense.
