Occasional. Forming loose clumps in moist to wet clayey organic substrate reworked during road construction in 2011. Full sun. This area dries out somewhat and is mowed / hayed as the growing season progresses.
Associates include Eleocharis erythropoda, Scirpus microcarpus, S. atrovirens, Carex stipata, C. granularis, C. aurea, C. tenera, C. brevior, C. vulpinoidea, Glyceria striata, Phalaris arundinacea, Equisetum arvense.
