Habitat: Common in sedge fen and tamarack swamp in a small kettle-hole wetland. Full sun to partial shade of Larix laricina and Betula pumila. Quite firm to rather buoyant peat. Continuous Sphagnum carpets. Thousands of plants.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Menyanthes trifoliata, Sagittaria latifolia, Thelypteris palustris, Calla palustris, Viola pallens, Potentilla palustris, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Petasites sagittatus, Typha xglauca, Triadenum fraseri, Vaccinium macrocarpon, Salix pedicellaris, Acer rubrum, Carex lasiocarpa, C. canescens, Eriophorum angustifolium.
