Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Along U.S. Highway 10 on level to rolling outwash 1/2 mile southeast of Cushing, four miles northwest of Randall.

Habitat: Infrequent in sedge fen on the margin of a black spruce bog. Continuous Sphagnum carpets. Very buoyant wet peat; often in shallow water. Full sun. Small loose colonies, often associated with small shallow pools where the peat is especially unstable (recovering from past wallowing disturbance). Loose clumps.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, C. canescens, C. lacustris, C. utriculata, Eriophorum chamissonis, E. gracile, Drosera rotundifolia, Thelypteris palustris, Utricularia intermedia, U. minor, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Triadenum fraseri, Typha xglauca.
