Locality: United States, Minnesota, Morrison, Along U.S. Highway 10 on level to rolling outwash 1/2 mile southeast of Cushing, four miles northwest of Randall.

Habitat: Local in poor conifer swamp. Patchy canopy of Picea mariana and Larix laricina. Partial shade. Continuous Sphagnum carpets. Deep, wet, moderately buoyant peat. Loose colony with several dozen fertile plants, many dozens without inflorescences.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Menyanthes trifoliata, Smilacina trifolia, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Ledum groenlandicum, Andromeda glaucophylla, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Carex trisperma.
