Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Rolling to moderately rugged bedrock terrain 21 miles north-northwest of Ely, just north of Stuart Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1255 feet
Habitat: Occasional to locally common along the margins of a 16-acre beaver meadow. Dating to the mid-1960's, the dam was last breached (and pond drained) before 1990. Full sun to partial shade of Picea glauca, P. mariana, and Alnus incana. Moist, gray clay with a shallow, well-decomposed peaty cap, sometimes amongst carpets of Sphagnum angustifolium.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Calamagrostis canadensis, Carex lacustris, Persicaria amphibia, Onoclea sensibilis, Dendrolycopodium hickeyi, Rubus strigosus.
