Frequent. Wet gravelly sand, in the wettest zone at the bottom of the ditch. Full sun.
Associates include Scirpus microcarpus, S. pallidus, Schoenoplectus tabernaemontani, Carex utriculata, C. stricta, C. lasiocarpa, C. aquatilis, Eleocharis erythropoda, Glyceria grandis, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Lycopus uniflorus, Typha angustifolia.
