Very local on a small (1/2-acre), low (<5 feet above the lake), narrow island. Loose patch of dozens of plants in a subtle depression in the rounded, gently sloping, granitic bedrock, ~18 inches above lake level in a zone that is periodically dampened by waves. Amongst scattered angular boulders in a shallow organic soil mat. Mostly in full sun.
