Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Along the Stewart River south of White Feather Lake, in moderately rugged bedrock terrain 16 miles north-northwest of Ely.

Verbatim Elevation: 1310 feet
Habitat: Sporadic, occasional to frequent on the banks of the river as it flows through a large peatland complex that is influenced by beaver flooding and other river level changes. Small colonies occur in a narrow zone along the edge of the river where it is bordered by a fairly extensive shore fen. Water depth is presently ~2-3 feet here. In full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Carex utriculata, C. lasiocarpa, Calamagrostis canadensis, Potentilla palustris.
