United States, Minnesota, Otter Tail, Strongly rolling moraine along the Dead River northwest of Otter Tail Lake, at the edge of Davies State Wildlife Management Area six miles southwest of Richville, seven miles west-northwest of Ottertail.

Habitat:
Occasional to locally common in a narrow strip of ash swamp along the base of a 25-foot, north-facing slope. Patchy canopy of Fraxinus nigra, Betula papyrifera, B. alleghaniensis, and Tilia americana. Moist to wet, highly-decomposed organic soil, likely effected by groundwater seepage.

Additional associates include Ribes triste, R. hirtellum, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Parthenocissus inserta, Equisetum arvense, Thelypteris palustris, Athyrium angustum, Impatiens capensis, Caltha palustris, Cicuta maculata, Rubus pubescens, Glyceria striata, Cinna latifolia.
