United States, Minnesota, Otter Tail, Strongly rolling morainal terrain north of Otter Tail Lake, six miles southwest of Richville, 12 miles south-southwest of Perham, on the south side of Davies Lake.

Habitat:
Occasional in a rather narrow zone of ash swamp. Patchy canopy and subcanopy of Fraxinus nigra and Betula alleghaniensis. Full shade to partial sun. Moist to wet peaty muck, with groundwater seepage from the base of the nearby steep, northerly slope. In moss mats on raised microsites.

Additional associates include Mitella nuda, Stellaria longifolia, Equisetum arvense, Impatiens capensis, Geum rivale, Rubus pubescens, Ribes hirtellum, R. triste, Rhamnus alnifolia, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Carex interior, C. leptalea, Glyceria striata.
