Locality: United States, Minnesota, Otter Tail, Strongly rolling morainal terrain north of Otter Tail Lake, six miles southwest of Richville, 12 miles south-southwest of Perham, on the south side of Davies Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1325 feet
Habitat: Occasional in a rather narrow zone of ash swamp. Patchy canopy and subcanopy of Fraxinus nigra and Betula alleghaniensis. Full shade to partial sun. Wet peaty muck, with groundwater seepage from the base of the nearby steep, northerly slope. Low, few-stemmed shrubs, to ~3 feet tall.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Mitella nuda, Stellaria longifolia, Equisetum arvense, Impatiens capensis, Geum rivale, Circaea alpina, Rubus pubescens, Toxicodendron rydbergii, Ribes hirtellum, R. triste, Carex interior, C. leptalea, C. stipata, Glyceria striata.
