Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Battle Point County Park. On the shores of Lake Osakis on rolling terrain five miles north-northeast of downtown Osakis, just south of Battle Point.

Verbatim Elevation: 1330 feet
Habitat: Very local on the southerly slope of a 30-foot hill, on the lakeshore. Shaded beneath a patchy canopy of open-grown Quercus macrocarpa and Tilia americana. Dense understory includes Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Zanthoxylum americanum, and Rhamnus cathartica. Mesic loamy soil. Several clumps occur here behind a low ice-push ridge, a few feet from the lake.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Osmorhiza claytonii, Amphicarpaea bracteata, Hydrophyllum virginianum, Smilacina stellata, Toxicodendron rydbergii.
