Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Rolling drumlin plain five miles north-northeast of Clarissa, six miles east-northeast of Eagle Bend, in an inter-drumlin peatland along County Road 22.

Habitat: Occasional in a patterned rich shrub fen (somewhat degraded by a large ditch) dominated by often dense Betula pumila and Chamaedaphne calyculata. Full sun to partial shade of the shrubs and stunted Larix laricina. Deep, buoyant, saturated peat.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Eriophorum gracile, Carex lasiocarpa, C. interior, C. livida, C. canescens, C. limosa, Equisetum fluviatile, Thelypteris palustris, Triadenum fraseri, Potentilla palustris, Drosera rotundifolia, Viola macloskeyi.
