Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Rolling drumlin plain five miles north-northeast of Clarissa, six miles east-northeast of Eagle Bend, in an inter-drumlin peatland along County Road 22.

Habitat: Local, occasional in a small (7-acre) patch of tamarack swamp dominated by maturing Larix laricina. A patchy shrub layer is dominated by Betula glandulifera. Partial sun. Deep, firm, moist peat. In carpets of Sphagnum angustifolium.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Thelypteris palustris, Equisetum fluviatile, Scutellaria galericulata, Potentilla palustris, Glyceria canadensis, Platanthera lacera, Chamaedaphne calyculata.
