Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Sundial Lake Primitive Management Area. Rolling to fairly rugged bedrock terrain east of White Feather Lake, west of the Beartrap River, 17 miles north-northwest of Ely, on the boggy western shore of Sundial Lake.

Elevation: 419 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1375 feet

Habitat: Locally common in a broad zone of poor sedge fen, though apparently restricted to within a few feet of the water's edge. Loose to fairly dense patches in wet, buoyant peat. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Carex lasiocarpa, C. limosa, C. michauxiana, Rhynchospora alba, Dulichium arundinaceum, Drosera intermedia, Scheuchzeria palustris, Pogonia ophioglossoides, Lycopus uniflorus, Utricularia cornuta, Iris versicolor, Chamaedaphne calyculata.
