Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Sundial Lake Primitive Management Area. Rolling to fairly rugged bedrock terrain east of White Feather Lake, west of the Beartrap River, 17 miles north-northwest of Ely, on the boggy western shore of Sundial Lake.

Elevation: 419 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1375 feet

Habitat: Local, occasional to frequent along the edge of a poor sedge fen. Sporadic on the edge of the peat mat; restricted to the water's edge. Buoyant, wet peat and in shallow water. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Rhynchospora alba, Carex lasiocarpa, C. limosa, C. michauxiana, Brasenia schreberi, Drosera intermedia, Lycopus uniflorus, Lysimachia terrestris, Juncus brevicaudatus, Iris versicolor, Utricularia cornuta, Vaccinium macrocarpon, Chamaedaphne calyculata.
