Locality: United States, Minnesota, Todd, Burleene State Wildlife Management Area. Large peatland complex on level to gently rolling outwash plain 7.5 miles southwest of Clarissa, 11 miles west of Browerville.

Habitat: Local in patterned rich fen. Several small loose patches in wetter zones (flarks) dominated by Carex lasiocarpa (and in similar sedge fen openings in the nearby tamarack swamp). Deep, wet, often quite buoyant peat. Full sun.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex diandra, Eriophorum gracile, Calamagrostis inexpansa, C. canadensis, Typha xglauca, Aster borealis, Menyanthes trifoliata, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Galium labradoricum.
