Habitat:
Infrequent in young tamarack swamp (transitional to the adjacent patterned rich fen). Partial shade beneath short, patchy Larix laricina. Deep, saturated, buoyant peat. Dense clumps, mostly on tree-base hummocks and similar raised microsites.
