Habitat: Very locally common on the margin of a large wetland complex. Numerous small clumps occur in exposed moist organic soil / shallow peaty muck in a small (~1/8-acre) area that was plowed (or otherwise churned up) in the past few years to create a wildlife food plot (overlooked by a large, elevated, deer hunting blind). Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Cyperus bipartitus, C. squarrosus, Glyceria grandis, Agrostis gigantea, Phalaris arundinacea, Scirpus pallidus, S. atrovirens, Ranunculus sceleratus.
