Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Sundial Lake Primitive Management Area. Rolling to fairly rugged bedrock terrain east of White Feather Lake, west of the Beartrap River, 17 miles north-northwest of Ely, in a small peatland southwest of Sundial Lake.

Elevation: 430 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1410 feet

Habitat: Very local on the shores of a tiny (1/4-acre) bog pond. Occasional in a narrow zone of poor sedge fen surrounding the pond. Buoyant, wet peat with continuous Sphagnum carpets. Full sun.

Associated Taxa: Associates include Rhynchospora alba, Carex limosa, C. oligosperma, Scheuchzeria palustris, Drosera intermedia, D. rotundifolia, Sarracenia purpurea, Andromeda glaucophylla, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Vaccinium oxycoccos, V. macrocarpon.
