Locality: United States, Minnesota, Otter Tail, Extensive wetland complex surrounding North and South Maple Lakes, on level to gently rolling sandy outwash four miles northeast of Parkers Prairie, near the edge of Eastern State Wildlife Management Area.

Verbatim Elevation: 1425 feet
Habitat: Degraded hardwood swamp. Partial shade of small Betula papyrifera, Fraxinus nigra, and Ulmus americana. Very local in a small pocket of habitat that is not yet overrun by Phalaris arundinacea, which predominates elsewhere in this vicinity. Moist peat. Plants are all browsed by deer.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Carex lacustris, Thelypteris palustris, Rubus pubescens, Cirsium muticum, Campanula aparinoides, Eupatorium maculatum, E. perfoliatum.
