Habitat:
Occasional in a black spruce bog. Fairly dense canopy dominated by Picea mariana, with infrequent Larix laricina. Mostly in full shade. Deep saturated peat. In continuous moss carpets (Sphagnum spp., Pleurozium schreberi, Dicranum sp.). Forming loose clumps and small, loose to quite dense patches.
