Locality: United States, Minnesota, Otter Tail, On a large island in the extensive North and South Maple Lakes wetland complex, on level to gently rolling sandy outwash four miles northeast of Parkers Prairie, near the edge of Eastern State Wildlife Management Area.

Habitat: Sporadic. Infrequent in the ecotone between mesic hardwood forest and ash swamp. Partial shade beneath Fraxinus nigra, Tilia americana, Quercus rubra, and Ostrya virginiana. Moist loamy sand with an organic cap.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Glyceria striata, Carex pedunculata, Athyrium angustum, Boehmeria cylindrica, Caulophyllum thalictroides, Impatiens capensis, Rudbeckia laciniata, Solidago flexicaulis.
