Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Rolling to fairly rugged bedrock terrain south of Snowbank Lake, 21 miles east-northeast of Ely, in the southern end of Parent Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1445 feet
Habitat: Locally common on the shore of a small, low, forested island. Growing at the water line, and presently washed by waves driven by 20 mph winds. Rooted in coarse sand and gravel which is buried beneath a shallow cap of angular cobbles. Dense clumps, often aggregated into loose to fairly dense colonies. Full sun to partial shade of Alnus incana and Myrica gale.
Associated Species: Additional associates include Cicuta bulbifera, Lysimachia thyrsiflora, Juncus pelocarpus.
