Locality: United States, Minnesota, St. Louis, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Sundial Lake Primitive Management Area. Atop a broad bedrock ridge on the east side of White Feather Lake, 17 miles north-northwest of Ely.

Elevation: 440 meters Verbatim Elevation: 1445 feet

Habitat: Local, several plants, trailing through mosses in shallow silty soil over granitic bedrock (migmatite). Shaded beneath a rather dense canopy of young, even-aged Pinus banksiana, with scattered Populus tremuloides and Betula papyrifera locally, all regenerating from a major wildfire (1996).

Associated Taxa: Additional associates include Aster macrophyllus, Maianthemum canadense, Comptonia peregrina, Vaccinium angustifolium.
