United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 22 miles east-northeast of Ely, along the portage between Disappointment and Parent Lakes.

Habitat:
Local. Occasional on the margins of a beaver pond (a long ago flooded conifer swamp). Wet muck, sometimes standing in shallow water. Cespitose. Mostly in full sun, below dead Alnus incana that were killed by the most recent flooding.

Additional associates include Juncus brevicaudatus, Sparganium emersum, Sagittaria latifolia, Galium tinctorium, Callitriche palustris.
