Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 25 miles east-northeast of El. On the shore of Cattyman Lake, at the landing of the portage to Adventure Lake.

Verbatim Elevation: 1485 feet
Habitat: Local, rooted in angular cobbles (Knife Lake metasediments) amongst small boulders, at the mouth of the small inlet stream from Adventure Lake. Shallow water in a narrow shoreline zone, in a setting that emerges above the water line as lake levels recede later in the season. Full sun. Dense, robust clumps, the larger ones with 75+ fertile culms.
Associated Species: Associates include Eleocharis palustris, Scirpus cyperinus, Equisetum fluviatile, Cicuta bulbifera, Myrica gale.
