Locality: United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 25 miles east-northeast of Ely, on the boggy western shore of Jitterbug Lake.

Habitat: Uncommon and quite local in poor sedge fen. Small patches, on very buoyant wet peat within a few feet of the lake. Mostly in settings that appear too wet for Sphagnum mosses. Full sun.
Associated Species: Associates include Rhynchospora fusca, Carex limosa, C. lasiocarpa, Drosera intermedia, Utricularia intermedia, U. minor, U. cornuta, Scheuchzeria palustris, Xyris montana.
