United States, Minnesota, Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Moderately rugged bedrock terrain east of Snowbank Lake, 25 miles east-northeast of Ely, on the boggy western shore of Jitterbug Lake.

Habitat:
Frequent in poor sedge fen. Full sun to partial shade of scattered and somewhat stunted Picea mariana and Larix laricina. Continuous Sphagnum moss carpets (Sphagnum magellanicum, S. angustifolium, etc.). Buoyant saturated peat.
Associated Species:
Additional associates include Sarracenia purpurea, Chamaedaphne calyculata, Kalmia polifolia, Vaccinium oxycoccos, Carex pauciflora.
